A Brief History Lesson
The electric tattoo machine was first patented by tattoo artist, Samuel O’Reilly in 1891 after he discovered Thomas Edison’s Electric Pen (patented1876). Since this time; tattoo machines have changed, but after taking a look at the original patent design, you be the judge about how much they have evolved from a fundamental design standpoint.
Most coil machines have a flat bottom where it rests on the artist’s hand, and this is where our pat. pend. The Comfort Crown™ design changes the look and feel of our tattoo machines. While we still make and enjoy the traditional flat bottom frames, we are excited to introduce our proprietary Comfort Crown™ design to the world!
Anchor Irons Comfort Crown™ Design
The Comfort Crown™ design is more than just a new look; it changes the way the tattoo machines feels in your hand. By adjusting the bottom of the frame to a specific curvature, you will find that it rests naturally on the curve of your hand improving the feel and reducing slipping.
The Comfort Crown™ design is available on select models, check them out and tell us what you think in the comments section below.
